Self-care Sunday!

Self-care is any activity that we do deliberately to take care of our mental, emotional, and physical health. Although it's a simple concept, in theory, it's something we very often overlook. That's why I gather up some extremely easy self-care tips so that at least once a week(on Sundays) you can do it. Here you go!

1. Keep your phones away: Try to spend your day reading or meditation instead of scrolling through your social media feed. I am pretty sure many things are interesting to do than laying on the bed with your phones.

2. Healthy routine: Most of you go to bed around midnight or... even 2 in the morning. Try To Get Regular Sleep most nights. I suggest you go to bed at around 10 pm.

"Talk to yourself like you would to someone you love."

3. Reading: You can read your favorite book (again) with a cup of coffee or tea in the morning. It will make you feel relaxed.

4. Do (at least) a light clean up of your room or your study table: a messy room can create stress and other negative emotions. Studies have shown that clutter produces anxiety and can make people feel depressed.

"Give yourself the same care and attention that you give others and watch yourself bloom."

5. Listen to music or a podcast: Studies have shown that music can buoy your mood and fend off depression. It can also improve blood flow. Other than listening to music, you can listen to podcasts. In summary, podcasts can inform people of novel topics as well as entertain.

Why you should listen to podcasts?

To Spend Time More Effectively.

TED talks can work too. Watching TED talks will inspire anything. Students should follow up on TED talks because of many reasons. It's very productive.

6. Stay hydrated!

"Nobody can make you inferior without your consent."

7. Meditation and move your body: Find a quiet place for meditation. People who meditate on average sleep better, have lower heart rates, have lower blood pressure, and get sick less often. Increases Emotional Stability. For people who are prone to outbursts of anger or sadness, meditation helps people regulate and control their emotions. And workout too!

8. Write down your thoughts: EXTERNALIZE! Write everything that comes to your mind. Always keep a journal or a notebook where you can write about literally anything.

"It doesn't make you a narcissist to love yourself."

9. Allow yourself to feel your feelings: Don't deny your feelings!

10. And lastly, BREATH

"SELF-CARE is how you take your power back."
