THE DARK SIDE OF THE FICTIONAL WORLD

I have spent most of my life being involved in  the fictional world. Magic, Fantasy, Sci-fi, Supernatural (the most) etc. And i love it without a single regret. Infact I am so much into it, that I sometimes just want to stay there and want it to take the place for what we can know as reality. But only a few days back was what i realized is there is even a really whole other truth to it that the most of the crowd of people are just so unaware of. Just wanted to share little on it.

Fiction includes things like ghosts and divination and temptation. Did you catch that “D” word? Divination is one of those really bad, frowned-upon sins. So I saw a series with divination. I saw another with magical spells. I’ve seen evil things in all of them. But I don’t paint it as something “good.” I see it for what it is: evil.
So what does that look like? Well, in another  fantasy/paranormal book that i read, for example, evil’s not ugly. In fact, it’s quite seductive. The main character is drawn to this dark art. She gets a glimpse of it and finds it alluring in its own way. Isn’t that what evil is? "When we read Genesis, it doesn’t say that Eve was repulsed by the serpent. She didn’t run screaming from its ugliness. She listened to its words. She engaged with it. She followed the trail of temptation to the very thing she wasn’t supposed to do. And when she saw that the fruit she was forbidden to eat was good for food and pleasing to the eye and desirable for gaining wisdom, she took it and ate." And then there were consequences. Severe, life-shattering consequences.

When she disobeyed God, she broke the world.
And there was guilt. And shame.
That’s how much evil was packed into that fruit. Well, not exactly, but the wages of sin is death. That’s a hefty price for dabbling in evil. Isn’t it? I didn’t say it wasn’t just. And I’m not speaking out against God. He was merciful enough to give us a way out, a way of salvation. That price for our salvation, though, was death.

"Someone had to die."

"Because that’s what the evil craves."

"That’s the consequence of our sin."

Another thing, if any of you anytime could have noticed, being in a bookstore, looking out for something that would appeal to a teenager, you probably could randomly give a look at the nearby shelf having the young adult sections which also happens to be on bestsellers section filled with titles baring dark and scary themes!

Whether it could be "HUNGER GAMES", "MAXIMUM RIDE"; literally anything you can think of.

Why do bestselling young adult novels seem in darker theme now than in past years?
Whats really behind this dystopian trend? and why at the same time there is so much demand for it?

ON MY PERSONAL POINT OF VIEW

I do suspect young adults crave stories of broken futures because they themselves are uneasily aware that their world is already falling apart.

(i still don't know much on it though, do let me know what do you think on this)

Well, talking 'bout the dark bit in the fictional world, there can really be said a lot of things if actually given a thought on. I did tried and shared a very small part of my heart out as well. It's just the matter of whose perspectives and point of views we are talking about in the end.

Well, for the type of person like I am, I  basically is obsessed with being in the fictional world rather than accepting the reality. I didn't really even thought that there could even be the existence of a negative part about it untill my blog partner AKA one of my best homie made me think it through once again that there really is a darkness to everything. There has to be, unless someone really wants to talk on it, about it. It was around 3am when I thought to try myself on this topic while i was still watching another fictional movie!

I just tried, I still am idea-less, don't even think that it would be fair to call it one of my good efforts again.

Do let me know though
ThankYou❤️
